In partnership with sense, our free yoga group is held each month between 2-3pm at St Peter and All Souls Church hall on Fitzwilliam Street (same venue as the coffee morning). Download the PDF map below.
Yoga has many physical and mental benefits including:
- Increased flexibility.
- Increased muscle strength and tone.
- Improved respiration, energy and vitality.
- Maintaining a balanced metabolism.
- Weight reduction.
- Cardio and circulatory health.
- Improved athletic performance.
- Protection from injury.
Our yoga teacher Sue trained with the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation which is accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga.
“The yoga I teach uses a broad spectrum of tools and techniques that makes the practice holistic. There is a great emphasis on using the breath and combining breath with movement as a means to gain health and wellbeing. The approach to yoga has been called Viniyoga because it is an intelligent and systematic approach, it’s about starting from where one finds oneself rather than forcing the body into positions that it is not ready for. It is therefore suitable for any beginner.”
