Residents at Lindens sheltered housing in Lincoln Rd attended a special birthday party for Mrs Crossman to celebrate her 95th birthday. Her daughter organised the party and held a raffle and other activities to raise money for charity at the same time. As Mrs Crossman has Macular degeneration, they decided to give the money to the PAB.
Mrs Crossman invited us for coffee and biscuits with her and some of the residents. She is pictured here with new PAB Chairperson Sylvie Wheeler. It was lovely chatting to everyone and hearing more about the party and of course the birthday girl! Mrs Crossman is 95 years young and walks out most days. She also enjoys the activities that Lindens organise for their residents. She presented us with a cheque for £200 which was lovely to receive and very unexpected.
Congratulations to all the residents for raising such a wonderful amount and thank you for thinking about our charity – we really appreciate all the donations that we receive. And of course, Happy Birthday Mrs Crossman!
