On Monday 14th December at St Andrew’s United Reform, the Botolph Singers (an all female choir) performed their annual Christmas concert to raise money for various local charities. The choir kindly chose PAB as their charity this time and donated half of the proceeds from the event to us. We were delighted to receive a cheque for £200, so a big thank you to all the ladies and everyone who contributed.
We were treated to a mix of festive songs and witty poems. There was even chance to sing along with the choir to old favorites like ‘Deck The Hall’, ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ and ‘The Holly and the Ivy’. At the interval there were a delicious selection of refreshments, including a homemade blue cheese quiche which was very popular with some of our members. There was also a raffle with a very good selection of prizes.
“We had a fantastic evening of entertainment from the wonderful Botolph ladies choir who sang a selection of Christmas Carols and other humorous songs. It was a lovely evening and grateful thanks to them for giving the proceeds to PAB” Carol Abell PAB Chair
The Botolph ladies made us very welcome and would like to support us at other events, which we are very grateful for. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
