We are delighted to share with you that our Chairman Sylvie Wheeler was nominated for an award at the Peterborough Telegraph’s Pride of Peterborough Awards. Sylvie, who volunteers for PAB, has an incredible passion for promoting awareness and campaigning on behalf of those with sight loss.  Being visually impaired herself, Sylvie understands the challenges that many people face and tirelessly works to combat isolation and loneliness.  From fundraising at weekends to organising activities, Sylvie gives up much of her time and is always on hand.

Sylvie was a finalist runner up in the Category of ‘Volunteer of the Year’ to the amazing winners Sam and Steve Thorpe of the Charity ‘Free Kicks Foundation’ who provide football-related activities for ill, bereaved and disadvantaged children.

We would like to congratulate Sylvie and thank her for all of hard work which is invaluable to PAB.
