RNIB and Guide Dogs are offering free local training for people in Peterborough who live with sight loss and want to get online.
The half-day training course is part of the Online Today project, led by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), which aims to help people who are blind or partially sighted feel more confident using technology and the internet.
As technology develops, there are lots of useful apps and websites for smart phones, tablets or computers that can support people who are visually impaired to feel more confident when leaving home. Guide Dogs, RNIB and other sight loss organisations will be providing free Online Today training on assistive technology to increase confidence for people who are visually impaired at sessions across the country.
The Online Today training will be held at the Guide Dogs centre on the Broadway in Peterborough on 20-21 October.
You can book onto the morning or afternoon sessions on either day by contacting Guide Dogs on 0118 983 8364 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide your name, telephone number or email address. You will then be contacted to discuss your location and requirements.
