PAB’s Annual General Meeting was held on 25th February, when we celebrated another successful year, particularly for fundraising. The meeting was well attended and a chance to get to know the committee members and ask questions about the PAB’s plans for the coming year. Thank you to all those people who attended and to Margaret Wilson-Hinds for providing braille versions of last year’s Minutes.
This year, Sue Beasley decided to step down after more than 15 years serving on the PAB committee, so we would like to take the opportunity to thank Sue for her hard work and commitment to our charity over the years. Without her continued support when the association was going through difficult times, it probably would not be still running. Sue will remain involved at the PAB by continuing to help out at the various PAB events we organise. Our President, John Hanington, thanked Sue for everything she has done for the PAB and Carol Abell presented her with flowers as a token of appreciation.
Three new members, Andy O’Rourke, Martin Lucas and Sharon Marshall were all voted onto the committee and will attend their first meeting in April. We are pleased to welcome our new members and look forward to the contribution they will all bring! For more information about all of our committee members, please click here.
The meeting finished with light refreshments and chat with some good feedback from our members and suggestions for the future of the PAB.
