The ASDA Foundation is ASDA’s Charitable Company which was set up in 1988 to support local good causes chosen by ASDA colleagues, and is funded by profits from the mid-week national lottery. Part of the Foundation is the ‘Chosen by you.. Given by us’ scheme in which customers nominate, then vote for three local not for profit organisations to receive a tiered donation every two months.

Peterborough Association for the Blind who were the winners of the January/February Chosen by You, Given by Us vote. Michael Hicks, the Duty Manager in ASDA Peterborough, presented a cheque for £200 to Carol Abell, Chairman of the PAB.

“The very kind donation from ASDA’s Community Fund of £200 will be used for our annual trip to Hunstanton in August.”

We would like to thank the ASDA Foundation for short listing the PAB and to the hundreds of customers who showed their support and voted for us.

Thank you – you are making a big difference to blind and partially sighted people all across Peterborough.
