The Peterborough Lions club are a great supporter of the PAB and this year is no exception! Each year the club organises a Christmas Float to raise money for different causes and as with previous years, PAB volunteers helped out with the street collections. It was a very successful few days fundraising and the money was shared out between all those involved.
We were absolutely delighted to receive a cheque for £4,250 off the Club. Lions member Erica Constable presented the cheque to PAB President John Hanington, Chair Carol Abell and fundraisers Norma Wildman and Sylvie Wheeler. Sadly John was taking the photo so is missing from the picture!
Norma and Sylvie gave a lovely presentation about the work we do and what the money will go towards, and it was nice to hear the work that many other local charities are doing for the people of Peterborough.
We would also like to thank the Club for inviting us again. For those who don’t know about them, the Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organisation and has over 1.3 million men and women in 200+ countries, who work together through selfless, effective community service to answer the needs that challenge communities.
