Action for Blind People is a national charity with local reach, providing practical help and support to blind and partially sighted people of all ages. They can support you to live as independently as possible by providing tailored information and guidance to help you understand what it means to be blind or partially sighted. They can also offer advice to people who have a visually impaired friend or family member. For issues outside their areas of expertise, they have developed a network of partners who are experts in their field and work with them to get the best possible deal for blind and partially sighted people.

Action speaks louder for nearly 30,000 visually impaired people every year, always placing their needs at the heart of everything Action does. They support these individuals in many aspects of their lives and help them to find the right services and products they need to live independently, including help with finding a job, applying for benefits, cash grants, housing issues, aids and adaptations, holiday breaks and information on local services.

Leaflets and booklets are available free of charge, including Getting On – A Guide To Services For Visually Impaired People. No SAE required.
